Nicole Young met with lawyers on Thursday after filing for div-orce from husband Dr. Dre earlier this week.The 50-year-old was dressed to ki-ll in a pastel two-piece outfit and black blazer as she left a three-hour meeting in Century City, Los Angeles.
Nicole was seen as it was it was revealed that the former couple will spl-it a real estate portfolio worth $60 million and amid reports they did not have a pren-uptial agreement in place when they married in 1996. The mother-of-two exited a high-rise building, alongside a suited business associate, wearing her bru-nette locks pu-lled up in a high braided ponytail.
She pulled her look together with some white pointed mules and stylish sunglasses.
Nicole fil-ed for div-orce in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday after 24 years of marriage to the hip hop mogul.Dr. Dre – born Andre Romelle Young – and Nicole were married on May 25, 1996 and share two kids, daughter Truly, 19, and son Truice, 23.
Dre, 55, founded the hugely lucr-ative Be-ats Electronics brand and is said to be worth an estimated $800 million, yet sources tell the outlet that the pair did not sign a pren-uptial agreement.The 55-year-old rapper is also the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and was previously co-owner of loss Row Records. Nicole was formerly married to NBA player Sedale Thre-att.
She is reportedly se-eking spousal support and is being represented by celebrity attorney Samantha Spector in the div-orce. Young is also a lawyer herself.The duo will no doubt be nego-tiating how to spl-it their assets as they work out how to finalize their div-orce.
It was reported on Friday that they will have to spl-it $60 million in real estate, including a $2.25 million mansion in Pacific Palisades, purchased in June 2019, their $50 million Brentwood estate, plus a $4.9 million property and studio in Calabasas.
They will also need to di-vvy up any profit they made from the sale of their longtime home in Woodland Hills which they sold in August 2019 for $4.5 million.Forbes recently pe-gged Dre’s wealth at $800 million.
In 2014, the music company that Dre established, Beats, was sold to Apple for $3 billion, which lead to him being hailed as the ‘first billionaire in hip-hop’.The same year, the rapper purchased a $40 million home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles in from its previous owners, NFL player Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
In 2001, it was reported that Dre earned a total of about $52 million from selling part of his share of Aftermath Entertainment to Interscope Records, as well as producing the megah-it Family Affair by Mary J. Blige.
Dre has had a compl-icated personal life and has six children; four sons and two daughters, by five different women.He was just 16 when he and his then-15-year-old girlfriend Cassandra Joy Green had their first child together, a son named Curtis. Dre did not meet his son until 20 years later, according to multiple reports.Then in 1983, Dre welcomed a daughter named La Tanya Danielle Young with Lisa Johnson.
